Sustainability
At both the governmental and social levels, Switzerland is committed to sustainability across sectors by actively supporting and advancing sustainable development initiatives such as the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda. Despite its comparatively small geographic size, Switzerland is home to many unique ecosystems – it is even nicknamed the “Water Tower of Europe” – and takes seriously the responsibility for conserving its vast natural resources. As Switzerland and the United States face similar sustainability challenges, joint efforts to tackle problems more efficiently are key to achieving our shared goals.
