On June 6, 2025, Consul General Urs Broennimann, Artur Czerniejewski, Head of the Swiss Business Hub USA, and Senior Trade Commissioner Kimberly Shulman had the pleasure of visiting Beyond Gravity in Decatur, Alabama. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Michelle Lach, SHRM-CP, Director of People & Culture, who provided a fascinating tour of the facility and shared valuable insights into the company’s operations.

Beyond Gravity, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, is a global leader in aerospace technology. At the Decatur site, the company manufactures state-of-the-art payload fairings for rockets using advanced composite structures. These critical components are assembled just next door by United Launch Alliance (ULA), underscoring the close collaboration within the aerospace ecosystem in Alabama. With operations across 12 sites in the United States and Europe, Beyond Gravity employs approximately 1,600 people globally, including 300 in Decatur alone. The company continues to grow in response to increasing global demand for reliable, high-performance space technologies.
