Following a generous donation of football memorabilia by FIFA’s headquarters in Zurich, the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York was delighted to donate the materials to “City in the Community,” New York City Football Club’s (NYCFC) charity foundation that supports access to sport for youths in underserved communities of New York.

Our Consul General, Ambassador Niculin Jäger, presented the official World Cup balls, pins, and keychains to NYCFC COO Jennifer O’Sullivan. Also in attendance were several of City in the Community’s young leaders, as well as Malachi Jones, a player on their first team.

It was a great occasion to celebrate the power of soccer and to strengthen the collaboration with NYCFC in anticipation of the next and third edition of the New York Consulate Cup on June 23, 2024.
