On Monday, September 23, 2024, the Consulate General of Switzerland in Chicago was proud to represent Switzerland at the 46th annual Peace Day Celebration in Chicago, hosted by the Peace School and Build the Peace.

Peace Day Chicago is all about celebrating unity and diversity, both in our city and around the world, in honor of the United Nations International Day of Peace. It was an inspiring day filled with powerful moments: One Minute of Silence for World Peace, live world music, cultural performances by local artists, and a World Peace Flag Ceremony. Local leaders also shared their thoughts on what peace means to them.

We were honored to carry the Swiss flag during the ceremony, and join others, including 50 consulates, in standing up for peace.
